February 13 - Well we are back , finally, and a lot has happened since we last spoke! The Boba Fett 300th is popping up all over the country (found mine just last week). R2-D2 w/Hologram Leia is sneaking onto shelves again (found mine just the other day...thank the maker!). 12" Bounty Hunters are in abundance, as are new figures such as IG-88, Plo Koon, Calamari Colonel, etc. Rumour has it that the latest wave of figures like Aurra Sing, Bespin Escape Leia, Chewbacca Mechanic, and the like are showing up as well! Toy Fair 2001 has come and gone and the folks at both Yakface.com and Rebelscum.com have gone and come back...with awesome coverage of the event! On tap for the new year are a fine looking resculpt of Luke X-Wing Pilot, Bespin Security Guard, Tessek (Squid-Head), Ketwol (Special Edition addition to the Cantina scene), R2-Q5 (black R2 from the Death Star), a new Jar-Jar (with tongue action...eeew...and folded up pit droid), a new, awesome looking, Sandtrooper, and the best looking Lando (Bespin) yet. As if that wasn't enough Toy Fair also heralds the return of the Expanded Universe line with a nifty looking Obi-Wan (in Arctic Gear), Darth Maul (Sith Apprentice), and Qui-Gon Jinn (Jedi Training). Also in this line, we will be seeing a shirtless "Crusader" Darth Maul. Also shown at Toy Fair, new 12" Han Stormtrooper, Death Star Droid, and Death Star Trooper. Be sure to swing by Yakface.com and Rebelscum.com and check out their Toy Fair coverage. Also coming this year from Hasbro (but not shown at Toy Fair) are new Deluxe Figures. These will be 6" figures with deluxe accessories. Rumored in this line are Luke in Bacta Tank, Slave Leia w/Sail Barge Cannon, and Amanaman/Salacious Crumb 2-pack. August 15 - Be sure to check out Gwen*con2000, a site devoted to the Lake Geneva, WI gaming convention known as Gen-Con. Gwen has posted numerous pics of new and upcoming Star Wars toys including the 12" Stormtrooper on Dewback, 12" Darth Maul w/Sith Speeder, POTJ Collection 1 and 2 figures, and the first known pics of the upcoming Wizards of the Coast exclusive Wookiee (Wrower...or something like that) and the upcoming "General" Leia (as this figure is rumored to be called) or Leia in Endor briefing outfit if you will. Incidentally, I finally came across the Rebel Pilots Cinema Scene at my local KB Toyworks yesterday! They had two cases of them, so keep checking your KBs... August 12 - Wow, a lot of news in the Collecting world since our last update... Well the TARGET exclusives, 12" Speeder Bike and Y-Wing, are popping up all over, but are pretty much gone as soon as they are stocked. Don't give up hope though, more are on the way. The first wave of the new "Power of the Jedi" figures are also out and about...I personally scored the whole set at TARGET this past Wednesday. New 12" Figures are on the way...Bounty Hunters 4-LOM, Bossk, and IG-88 will come in a 3-pack, a 12"Vader/Maul 2-pack is coming, as well as a new "100th Luke figure" which will come dressed in Tatooine dress and also come with X-Wing pilot gear as well! Go to Yakface's Realm and/or Collectstarwars.com to see pics. If you haven't been to your local KB Toys or KB Toyworks then shut off your computer, get off your duff, and get there ASAP. Besides the incredible deals you can find on almost all of their Star Wars merchandise (I picked up the Complete Galaxy Tatooine w/Luke and Endor w/Ewok for $4 and some change each) you just might get lucky and find the Skiff Guard and Rebel Pilots Cinema Scenes...and at a bargain price of $7.99 too! July 7 - Yakface's Realm has posted new pics, from Lee's Action Figure Digest, of the Fan Club Exclusive Carbon Freezing Chamber Playset, the 12" Stormtrooper on Dewback, 12" Captain Tarpals on Kaadu, and 12" Aurra Sing (with a nice, detailed, shot of all of her accessories). July 5 - More news today on the new Boba Fett figure. Adam Pawlus of Rebelscum.com has confirmed that the second, holstered blaster is indeed the blaster that Boba Fett is seen with in many production stills, the same one that the vintage 12" Boba figure came with...too cool, let's hope that it makes production. Here is a pic showing Boba holding this blaster... June 24 - GO MY SON! Go to Rebelscum.com for pics of new figures and new packaging from the Plano Toy Show...oh yeah and also pics of the 300th figure...BOBA FETT!!!!! This looks to be the best figure of all times! Yes, just by the pics you can tell, kind of like Cantina Han...but don't take my word for it, judge for yourself... Pictures courtesy of the fine folks at Rebelscum.com Cloth cape, articulated viewfinder, correct gun, articulated arms so he can hold the correct gun...uh...correcrtly, supposedly he has a second blaster in a holster (kinda hard to see in the pics if it's there at all), oh yeah, and finally, after 20 yrs...a FIRING BACKPACK! Boba Fett is scheduled for release in October. Stay tuned for more info... June 12 - Yakface's Realm has posted some great new shots of some great new upcoming figures....Dagobah Vader (by far the coolest of all), Darth Maul (from the 7" Jedi Powers Collection), Jek Porkins, a "new" Destroyer Droid, Battle Damaged R2 (has wheels on his feet too), and Obi-Wan Kenobi (hologram...enough with the holograms already). Like I said, by far the coolest of all is the Dagobah Vader, with a removable face mask that reveals Luke's face and eerie see-thru molding. In other Figure related news, and I'm sure you have all heard this by now, HASBRO's 300th Star Wars figure will apparently be none other than a resculpt of everyone's favorite Bounty Hunter...Boba Fett! June 4 - Yakface's Realm's LEGO page, From Bricks To Bothans, has posted pics of the packaged Star Wars LEGO Mini-Fig sets due out this summer. Be sure to check it out. Also check out the link to Bounty Hunter's Collective for the first known shot of the Qui-Gon/Security Battle Droid 2-pack. This 2-pack set, ala Obi-Wan/break apart Maul, looks pretty sweet. June 1 - Vote for the next Hasbro Star Wars figure to be made at the Hasbro Site. Never heard of "Bom Vimdim"? Your not alone...but a lot of folks have been voting for him anyway. Yakface's Realm has posted the first loose and boxed pics of the 12"Biker Scout and Speeder Bike! You have GOT to check these out....this one is right up there with the 12"Han and Taun-Taun in my book. May 20 - The Official Hasbro Site has updated with some news on Shmi Skywalker, the Skiff, and the pulling of SW toys from store shelves. Very interesting reading. Also ,on the same page, (and I don't know HOW I missed this one)is some news and pictures of the upcoming Biker Scout! Very nice looking, new sculpt, with ankle holster and blaster. Too cool, let's hope it will be easier to find than R2 w/ hologram Leia. May 14 - Happy Mother's Day to all....except Anakin Skywalker that is. Seems the powers that be at Hasbro have decided they aren't going to produce the Shmi Skywalker figure after all! The fine folks over at Yakface's Realm have started a petition to save Shmi so if you want to see Anakin's mom, forever immortalized in 3 3/4" plastic form, then sign the petition here shmipetition@yakface.com. Remember that it was a petition by Yakface's Realm that got us Wuher the bartender, so go sign the petition now! May 7 - Well we missed the anniversary of "Star Wars Midnight Madness". Not that we would have done anything that spectacular I guess, but it was a year ago May 3rd that collectors and fans around the country headed out to their local Toys R Us, KB Toyworks, Wal-Mart, or what have you to get their hands on the first wave of Episode I merchandise. These were great times my friends...now we face empty shelves, increasing exclusives with decreasing availabilty, collectors selling their collections and dropping the hobby, bitching, moaning, complaining, you name it. Only a year ago we were riding high...what happened? Well maybe things will turn around as Episode II begins to heat up, we at BiLLy Ray's will soldier on in our collecting...and if you happen to come across that damn R2-D2 with Hologram Leia.... In brighter, happier news, ShopStarWars.com, or Mos Espa Marketplace, or "The Fan Club", if you will, have brightened BiLLy Ray's day by offering the first ever sets of Star Wars LEGO Mini-figs! (ed note: BiLLy Ray's wife brightend his day further by letting him order them) Two sets are available, the first being Luke Skywalker (in hooded Jedi mode), Han Solo (looks like the Jedi version, brown pants), and Boba Fett. The second set consists of Darth Vader (not a keychain, not in a $50 set), Darth Maul (w/double bladed lightsaber), and...Emperor Palpatine!!!! These sets will not be sold in stores and are only available through the fan clubat this time, but will be available from LEGO Shop at Home in the near future...and for less apparently. Check 'em out here. Rumored future sets are Chewbacca w/2 Biker Scouts and a Battledroid 3 pack with OOM-9 and two troops. April 2 - Here is a shot of the box for the upcoming Aurra Sing Masterpiece Edition from Chronicle Books( thanks to Raving Toy Maniac)... Aurra Sing Masterpiece Edition box April 1 - Wow, "I'm out of it for a little while and...". The official site dropped a bombshell on collectors this past week. The next Masterpiece Edition from Chronicle Books will be none other than...are you ready for this?...AURRA SING! Here is a quick link to the announcement on The Official SW Site. If you are unfamiliar with the Masterpiece Editions, they are the book/12" Figure combos you have probably seen in book stores. The first was a figure of adult Anakin Skywalker with a great book, Anakin Skywalker: The Story of Darth Vader, by none other than collecting guru Steve Sansweet. I have this one and can vouch for it's coolness. The second Edition was a 12", take-apart C-3pO. Don't have it, can't vouch for it (Fargo anyone?) but it does look quite nice. Aurra Sing looks pretty darn cool herself, here she is... Can't wait to see what the book is all about, as Aurra Sing is rumored to play a pretty big part in Episode II. In other news, you may want to check your local Wal-Mart for new stuff. Acting on a tip from Jedi-Jimmie that a local Wal-Mart here in San Antonio had been holding on to new stuff until the release of the Episode II video I, I found a ton of new figures yesterday! Check out the Texas Store Watch for more details. Mar 22 - The Official LEGO site has updated with some great new pics of some of the upcoming Star Wars sets...including the Millennium Falcon...you can check 'em out HERE. Mar 19 - Yakface's Realm posted a pic from Toyfare revealing Sabe (Queen Amidala's Bodyguard) as well as Holographic Nute Gunray and Obi-Wan w/hood. Rebelscum.com posted some real nice pics a few days back of some of the newer Episode I figures...Sio Bibble, Queen Amidala (with ascension gun), new Boss Nass (Naboo Temple), Holographic Nute Gunray, and Shmi Skywalker. Mar 15 - Yakface's Realm is reporting that the Carbonite Freezing Chamber (see Mar 7) will be another Fan Club Exclusive! Sheesh!!! Mar 8 - Remember that cool looking Darth Maul figure that TeeKay-421 posted a pic of way back in September? The one with the binoculars and miniature Sith Infiltrator? Well it is from what Hasbro is calling the "Trophy Assortment" and you can see a carded pic at Yakface's Realm. Mar 7 - The Hasbro site has updated!!!! If that wasn't enough in itself, they updated with the news that the much talked about (and wanted) Carbonite Freezing Chamber will see store shelves!!!! Apparently they wanted to wait until after Episode I...whatever. Go to Rebelscum.com to see some fine pics of the old chamber. There is also some info on the much bitched about (sorry kids) R2 w/Holo Leia and the much bitched about (sorry again), proposed, new packaging. Read it here kids...Hasbro's Republic News. They have also updated the Product Index. Interesting entry in the index..."Video Release 2-Pack: Obi-Wan and Darth Maul". Is this the Final Jedi Duel 2-Pack w/break in half Maul? Who knows? Stay tuned, we'll try to find out for ya... Mar 4 - Figures in Action has posted the first known pics of Shmi Skywalker and Holographic Nute Gunray! The pictures aren't the best, but Shmi looks to be a pretty nice figure while Holo Nute looks like the same old figure only molded out of AIM Toothpaste. What started out as a petition by Yakface's Realm has now become reality and stands at his rightful place , behind the bar, in the cardboard cantina diorama (purchased just for the occasion). I'm talking about Wuher, the bartender, who finally arrived just a few days ago. Look for a review on the REVIEWS page (along with a few other, long overdue, reviews) soon Feb 25 - Looks like all those reports of Toys R Us getting a buttload of old stuff for clearance are true! At a local TRU here in San Antone I personally saw a plethora of figures (Boba Fett, Bespin Luke, Bespin Han, Slave Leia, Darth vader, Stormtrooper...just to name a few), Cinema Scenes (POTD, Final Jedi Duel, Jabba's Dancers), Gunner stations, Power FX X-Wings, Deluxe Figures, and more all at amazingly low prices! Figure were $1.97, CSs were $4.97, the Power FX X-Wing was 10 BUCKS! No AT-ATs or Mynock Hunts as some reports have claimed, but I will not lose hope... Feb 20 - Yakface's Realm has posted some really excellent pics of some of the upcoming figures shown at Toy Fair 2000. In their Episode I Toy Guide you will find pics of the Pit Droid 2-pack, Mas Amedda, Senate Guard, Tusken Raider, Battle Damaged R2-D2, Sebulba, Qui-Gon w/poncho, Obi-Wan w/hood up, Jar-Jar (Tatooine) w/folded up pit droid, Gungan Warrior, Fode & Beed (the two-headed pod race announcer), the new Boss Nass, and Anakin (Mechanic) w/ pit droid. Feb 18 - You can check out even more detailed Toyfair 2000 photos at Raving Toy Maniac. After perusing RTM's offerings I think what appeared to be a COMMTECH C-3p0 over at Rebelscum was actually TC-14. Word on the street (the street being Yakface's Realm) has it that the new Leia and Admiral Motti have been found in stores...at least at Wal-MArt in California. Rebelscum.com has updated it's Toyfair 2000 page with some closeup shots of some of the new figures. Feb 17 - I'm out of it for a little while and...Toy Fair 2000 happens! While in the midst of upgrading my system, news of Toy Fair broke. You can view some mighty fine pictures of all new figures like Jek Porkins, Mechanic Anakin, Gungan Warrior, Underwater Obi-Wan, Dagobah Vader, Sebulba, and Qui-Gon w/cape, as well as many new 12" figures like Mace Windu, Sebulba, and C-3P0 at Rebelscum.com. They also have pics of the new 6" "Jedi Powers" Darth Maul and Obi-Wan as well as new Galoob and LEGO pics...including the first pics of the LEGO Chewbacca and C-3P0 plus interior shots of the Millennium Falcon. Very exciting... update: I forgot to mention the new packaging...quite a stink over this apparently, though why I am not sure. The new packaging for the Hasbro figures will feature a head shot of Darth Vader with Episode I Obi-Wan in front. This will supposedly be the new packaging for both Classic ans Episode I figures. Also from Toy Fair 2000, a new classic Obi-Wan, a new Darth Maul speeder, new Boss Nass, and what appears to be a COMM-TECH C-3P0. Feb 8 - Mos Espa Marketplace is now taking orders for the new Wuher figure. (Wuher is the bartender from ANH in case you were wondering) Feb 7 - From Bricks to Bothans has some awesome, new, and exclusive pics of the LEGO Millennium Falcon, AAT, TECHNICS X-Wing, and Mindstorms AT-AT. Also they promise news tommorow of a "Pod-Racer Bucket". Sir Steve's Guide has posted pics of some of the upcoming Episode I 12" figures, including a very nice looking Mace Windu. Jan 9 - Figures in Action has posted the first pics of the packaged Final Lightsaber Duel (this is the Obi-Wan Darth Maul two-pack). Looks pretty cool...be sure to check it out. Dec 11- this in
today from Todd cocerning
the new Holgraphic Darth Sidious..."I thought he was
another Jell-o figure, but he MOVES! Articulation at both shoulders, both elbows, *and*
both wrists! It'sreally REALLY tight because of his sculpted hood, but his head turns
too! Don't enrage him, or he'll poke your eyes out with his sleeves (his
favorite weapon before discovering 'force lightning'). Flash This just in from Yakface's Realm ...Aparrently some of the new Legos are out in stores and The Realm has fresh hot pics to prove it! Dec 9 - Head over to Rebelscum.com right now for a ton of news and pictures from the latest issue of Lee's Action Figure News. Pictured are the new Tatooine Skiff w/Jedi Luke (not only did they get the hand right, but it also has "simulated" blaster damage), the new Y-Wing w/pilot and R2 unit (looks very nice, pilot has removable helmet), some new Galoob stuff, and Holographic Darth Maul and Holographic Qui-Gon (don't remember Qui-Gon appearing in holo in the film....hmmm) that have new "Holo-Projector" bases that light up the figures....kinda groovy. Dec 1 - The Outer Rim has posted some info on the Obi-Wan/Darth Maul 2-pack (see Oct 31). According to them Darth Maul does have a "split in half" feature. Apparently he has a magnet in his waist to facilitate this action. Hate to tell you I told you so... Several reports around the country of the Holographic Darth Sidious and Naboo Security guard showing up in stores. Nov 14 - If you want to see scans of the 2000 Star Wars LEGO line, straight from the 2000 LEGO catalog, then head on over to BrickShelf.com. Pictured are the Millennium Falcon, AAT, MTT, Slave I, B-Wing, A-Wing, and more...including a first look at a few of the new mini-figs like Han Solo and Princess Leia. Nov 8 - Harry sent us this little tidbit of info today..."JC Pennys has the royal star ship for 89.00 plus if you order it from
the Nov 2 - Check out the Force.Net Collecting Page for one of the coolest collectibles we've ever seen...an Electric S.T.A.P. Scooter ! You gotta check this one out. I want one ...of course with a $1000 price tag, I don't think I will be getting one anytime soon. Check it out at FAOShwarz.com AurraSing.Net has posted what they believe to be a prototype pic of an Aurra Sing action figure. This pic was found on the Hasbro site in an interview with Hasbro sculptors. Read the whole article here. If you can't wait for Hasbro to put one out, Rebelscum.com has apparently posted instructions on how to create your own (the site was down at the time of this writing). Oct 31 - Sir Steve's Guide has an Obi-Wan/Darth Maul 2-pack pictured. Obi-Wan has Qui-Gon's lightsaber and appears to have some sort of action feature (he has a small button on his waist). Darth Maul's lightsaber is cut in half. Looking at the way he is posed, and with the obvious side-to-side swinging action that Obi-Wan appears to have, I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Darth Maul just might have a little action feature of his own...maybe, just possibly, he might be able to be cut in half! Seems kind of grisly for a toy, and I could be wrong, but take a look for your self and see what you think (pic courtesy of Sir Steve's Guide) ... Oct 30 - Yakface's Realm has posted painted pics of the upcoming Tatooine Skiff w/Jedi Luke. Very nice looking (and they got the hand thing straightened out). Rebelscum.com has posted scans from Lee's Action Figure News of the new 12" Chewbacca and Endor Han Solo. Unfortunately Chewie is still the hideously deformed, mutant freak, toy we have seen pictured previously. If it is any consolation, the Endor Han looks pretty good. Oct 23 - Yakface's Realm had a report earlier today (that has since been removed) that the new POTF2 wave with Vader and Stormtrooper was out! The Outer Rim posted scans of the LEGO AAT, MTT, and Millennium Falcon today, which they report will be released in July of 2000. They also had scans of a limited edition LEGO TECHNIC X-Wing and TIE Interceptor which look very cool and will also be released in July. For January 2000 look for the Skiff, Slave I, A-Wing, B-Wing, Flash Speeder, and Kaadu. Hope the folks at outer rim don't mind me doing this, but here are some of the pics... LEGO AAT, MTT, and Millennium Falcon LEGO TECHNIC X-Wing and TIE Interceptor Oct 21- Lots 'o news today kiddies...Yakface's Realm has posted some mighty fine pics of the 12" Endor Han Solo and the (ughh)12" Chewbacca as well as pics of the interior of the AAT, the swamp skeeter w/ Obi-Wan, the Tatooine Skiff, and the Y-Wing. They also had some AWESOME scans of the COMM-TECH Darth Vader and COMM-TECH Stormtrooper. Here's one of the Darth Vader scans, courtesy of the folks at the Realm... Rebelscum.com has posted several scans from the new LEGO catalog. Included are pics of the LEGO A-Wing, B-Wing, Flash Speeder, Kaadu, Tatooine Skiff, and Slave I. Here is the shot of Slave I for a little appetizer...
Oct 18 - Sorry for the lack of updates, not much happening I'm afraid. Yakface's Realm has posted pics of the carded Holographic Darth Sidious and Naboo Royal Guard as well as a boxed pic of the upcoming (and quite horrendous looking) 12" Chewbacca. Apparently there is another variation out there, this time on the COMM-TECH Han Solo. Now it is shipping with a smaller bubble (whoopie, big deal) Sir Steve's Guide has a pic showing a comparison between the old packaging and the new. Oct 11 - If you jet on over to Rebelscum.com you can read the first of a three part Q&A session between Adam Pawlus and Hasbro's own Jen Donahue. Hopefully this will answer some of the questions you may have concerning the many hows, whys, whens and what ifs of the Hasbro line. Oct 7 - Yakface's Realm has posted scans of some great new stuff...several new 12" incarnations of Queen Amidala as well as the boxed Laser Pod Mini-Rig (w/Battle Droid), Swamp Skeeter (?) w/Obi -Wan, and Eopie w/Qui-Gon. They have also added their first entry to their new Toy Guide...the COMM-TECH Stormtrooper. Very nice scans of the loose figure (including all accessories), along with packaged scans and .WAV files of the COMM-TECH lines (which sound great BTW) give all indications that the new Toy Guide is going to be quite nice. Meanwhile, over at Rebelscum.com the following scan of the new LEGO catalog for 2000, picturing a B-Wing fighter, Han Solo figure, BOBA FETT figure, and....the MILLENIUM FALCON was found...
Oct 4 - Yakface's Realm has posted this pic of what the new COMM-TECH figure's packaging will be like...these are the new chips we have been seeing with pics of new figures (i.e. Sio Bibble, new Amidala, Tusken Raider, etc.). The sticker on the new card promises "Twice the Speech"...let's hope for twice the speech QUALITY as well. I'm hoping the scan of the Jedi Duel Obi-Wan in this new packaging is just a prototype for the packaging and does not mean that all the current figures are going to be re-released with new chips! Of course it could be the Obi-Wan with cloth robe bottom and Jedi Comm-Link...it is a rather small pic and kind of hard to tell. Also pictured at Yakface's Realm ... The Desert Skiff and the first pic that I have seen of the new Y-Wing! Rebelscum.com has posted a rather interesting list of confirmed figures that we should see in Y2K. Some of the more interesting items mentioned...Luke (Bacta Tank), Vader (Dagobah), Boss Nass (version 2?), Shmi Skywalker, and a 12" Mace Windu. We have heard rumors of a Bacta Diaper Luke in the past...hmmm...and what exactly will a Dagobah Vader be? My guess is a removable helmet (and possibly a removable head) with Luke's face. Who knows? Only time will tell, that is if they even make the darned thing. Sep 30 - Lots o' news in the collecting universe today...first off, Rebelscum.com has posted a scan of the new Jedi Luke that will come with the upcoming Tatooine Skiff. Interesting that this protoype pic still has the gloved hand...hmmm...... In other collecting news, Figures in Action has posted a report on an upcoming 6" Line of Star Wars Figures, tentatively called "Jedi Power Features" figures...double hmmmm....go check it out. Also Yakface's Realm is reporting that solid cases of 12" Darth Mauls are beginning to ship! Sep 21- Those wacky Belgians at TeeKay-421 have done it yet again! They have posted pics of a new Darth Maul (Tatooine w/binoculars, saber hilt, and miniature infiltrator...and quite a cool looking stand) and a new EP1 Tusken Raider (with blaster rifle). VERY cool looking...how do these guys do it? It's kind of hard to tell whether the Maul is from the 3 3/4" line or is possibly an Epic Force figure. Sep 20 - Sir Steve's Guide has posted some mighty fine scans of the new POTF2 Stormtrooper carded. The packaging reveals that his "battle damage" is activated by cold water (though I suppose a brief turn of solitary confinement in the 'ol freezer would do nicely as well). His COMM-TECH lines are also revealed on the packaging as being..."She'll be allright. Inform Lord Vader we have a prisoner.", "It's them!...Blast them!", "There's one, set for stun", and "The Death Star plans are not in the computer". Old Stormy interacts with Vader, Leia, and...Jedi (?) Here's some pics...courtesy of Hasbro (hope I don't get in trouble) Yakface's Realm posted this pic of the new folded up Destroyer Droid that comes with the new R2-D2 playset/carrying case. It's a little on the small side, check out The Realm for a comparison shot w/Watto. Sep 19 - The Hasbro Site has added a survey to their voting chamber where you can vote for which Episode I ship you would most like to see them make. The choices are the Sith Infilatrator, The Radiant (Republic Cruiser), ATT (Battle Tank), Bongo Sub, and the MTT (Battle Droid Transport). Does this mean Hasbro is considering making these vehicles? We have already seen pics of the ATT (from Hasbro, see Sep 3). Anyway, the current leader in the poll is the Sith Infilatrator with 43% of the vote and only a measly 5% of voters would care to see The Radiant immortalized in plastic (quite a shame as this is one of the coolest ships in Episode I in my humble opinion). Sep 18 - TeeKay-421 has done it yet again...this time posting a pic of the Senate Guard! A pretty nice looking figure too, with articulated arms that allow him to hold his rifle. Very cool. Also Yakface's Realm is reporting the possibility of a new Darth Maul, another new Anakin (mechanic), and a new Obi-Wan (w/hood up). They also give the case breakdown for the new POTF2 wave which should include three Darth Vaders (w/interrogator droid) and three Stormtroopers (articulated) per case. Sep 15 - Even more new goodies today from TeeKay-421 ! Pictured there are the Flash Cannon/Shield Generator (?) w/ Jar-Jar, Mas Amedda (horned blue guy from senate), and Obi-Wan's Lightsaber. How do these guys do it? Also there have been several reports across the net of full cases of Darth Maul (Jedi Duel) and full cases of Yoda showing up. Sep 13 - Since Friday, Belgian site TeeKay-421 has posted SIX, never before seen images of upcoming Hasbro figures! Pictured on the site are: Falumpaset w/Battle Wagon & Gungan Warrior, Sio Bibble, Swimming Jar-Jar (w/fish), Queen Amidala w/acsension gun, POTF Obi-Wan (w/COMM-TECH), and a Pit Droid 3-Pack. All look very nice. Also, The Outer Rim has done it once again, this time posting painted prototypes of upcoming 12" Han Solo (Endor), Slave Leia, and new (hairless) Chewbacca. Also Yakface's Realm is reporting that the new R2-D2 carrying case (w/rolled up Destroyer Droid) and the Sith Probe Droid Game are out. Sep 8 - That wacky Sir Steve has done it once again! Check out the very first pics of the forthcoming Desert Skiff at Sir Steve's Guide. This long awaited vehicle looks truly amazing. It is supposed to come with a new Jedi Luke (rumored to have articulation at the knees and wrists) Though not posted at Sir Steve's, a pic of what is believed to be the prototype for this figure can be found at The Outer Rim (see Sep 1) Sep 3 - Yakface's Realm has posted official Hasbro photos of...a full size AAT (Battletank) and Faamba (big dinosaur things the Gungans rode). Both are very cool looking and very large looking as well. These seemed to have come out of nowhere...kudos to Hasbro on the AAT, current speculation was that this would not be made and that the forthcoming "mini-rig" AAT would be the closest we would get. The Outer Rim has struck again, this time with a prototype shot of the new 12" Chewbacca (this one is all plastic...no fur). Sep 1 - Good news collectors...the new Hasbro site is officially online! It can be found at the old URL ( www.starwars.hasbro.com ). In other news...The Outer Rim has posted some info on the upcoming (and long awaited) Tatooine Skiff. They also have a (supposed) pic of the prototype Jedi Luke that is to come with it. There seems to be some doubt about this due to the fact that the Luke appears to have a black glove on his left hand. As any self respecting fan knows, Luke didn't put the glove on until after the skiff (and Jabba's barge for that matter) was nothing but a million splinters in the Tatooine desert...but any self respecting fan would also know that it was l\Luke's RIGHT hand that was severed by Darth Vader in TESB, and therefore bionic and therfore damaged on the sail barge, etc. So is this the real deal? Who knows, very likely yes...it is, after all, a prototype and could have one black hand and one neon green hand for all Hasbro cares at this point...stay tuned.... |
